I'd hoped to visit the Liverpool Peter Pan statue in 2014 on a family trip to England, but on top of everything else we did on that trip, a day trip from London to Liverpool for all four us, just to see a statue, was a little out of reach in terms of both time and money. Four years later, my husband and I were back in England, and took that day trip to see the Peter Pan statue in Sefton Park (as well as to go to the Beatles Museum, another Liverpool attraction I highly recommend).

This visit involved no stolen or damaged cameras, and was quite uneventful except that it rained, so my hair was a little wet in the photo.

The Liverpool statue was a gift to the children of Liverpool in 1928. You can read a bit about the statue's history in this article -- it was in storage for several years in the early 2000s before being restored and replaced in its current spot in front of the Palm House in Sefton Park. There's some fascinating information about the extensive restoration process here
